A place that gives visitors a true sense of the charm of gold leaf |
The Golden Tea Ceremony Room in the store uses about 40,000 pieces of first-class
gold leaf (with each piece sized 10.9 cm × 10.9 cm). This was created
modeled after Hideyoshi Toyotomi's tea room. Hideyoshi is one of the shoguns
of the Edo period (1603-1868) who loved tea ceremony. He created a portable
tea ceremony room covered with gold leaf inspired by Kyoto's Kinkakuji
Golden Pavilion.
Here, visitors can also see how gold leaf is made.
A wide selection of gold-leaf items, including crafts, accessories, food and cosmetics, is available. |

Conveying the value of metal leaf, and incorporating it into today's designs |
The HAKUZA Hikarigura uses pure gold-platinum leaf, developed for the first time in the world by HAKUZA, and it gives form to Hakuhin, which gives leaf its real power and beauty.
HAKUZA Hikarigura presents various Hakuhin items centered on a series of dots, which best suit pure gold-platinum leaf. This is the appeal of the leaf's new styles, which provide insight into the next generation, and of the space that encompasses them. |
